The Hikvision iDS-2CD8A46G2/SA-XZHS is a 4MP DeepinView self-cleaning camera designed for professional vehicle monitoring, checkpoints, entrances, and exits requiring license plate recognition and vehicle analysis. It features a 1/1.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor with a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520 and DarkFighter 2.0 technology for improved low-light performance. The camera uses a 10–50mm motorized varifocal P-Iris lens with Auto, Semi-auto, and Manual focus modes. Its horizontal field of view ranges from 39.4° to 8.8°, allowing the lens to be adjusted for different surveillance distances. The camera uses a separated illumination and lens design to reduce rain-related glare. Its inclined optical glass helps reduce reflections caused by vehicle headlights. It also features a self-cleaning Air Curtain system to help keep the camera window clear, together with a built-in heater and demisting function for improved imaging during rain, fog, and challenging weather conditions. The camera supports 140dB WDR, BLC, HLC, 3D DNR, Defog, distortion correction, and EIS image stabilization. It provides IR and white-light supplementary illumination with a monitoring range of up to 250 meters depending on lens configuration and operating conditions. Advanced vehicle functions include license plate recognition for cars and motorcycles in checkpoint scenarios, vehicle attribute recognition such as vehicle type, color, brand, and driving direction, as well as vehicle and non-motorized vehicle counting. The camera supports blocklists and allowlists with up to 10,000 records and license plate recognition for four major regions—Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Africa—and more than 124 countries and regions. Under recommended installation and lighting conditions, Hikvision specifies license plate recognition, capture, and driving-direction accuracy of ≥98%. Vehicle capture speed reaches up to 120 km/h for front-facing checkpoint installation and up to 80 km/h for side installation. The camera also supports parking management, including distant-view monitoring of up to 40 parking spaces and close-view monitoring of up to 4 parking spaces, with parking duration, vacant-space, and parking-timeout detection. Storage supports microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC cards up to 1TB, NAS, and ANR, with memory-card encryption and health detection supported when compatible Hikvision memory cards are used.
