The Hikvision DS-7108NI-Q1/8P is a Value 7 Series network video recorder designed for small and medium-sized IP surveillance systems requiring integrated PoE connectivity. It supports up to 8 IP camera channels with resolutions up to 6MP and provides up to 60Mbps incoming and outgoing bandwidth. The NVR includes 8 independent 10/100Mbps PoE ports supporting IEEE 802.3af/at, with a total PoE power budget of up to 75W. This allows IP cameras to receive both network connectivity and power through the same Ethernet cable. Video compression supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 to reduce storage requirements and network bandwidth consumption. The recorder supports recording resolutions up to 6MP and synchronous playback of up to 4 channels. Decoding capability is up to 4-channel 1080p at 30fps, 2-channel 4MP at 30fps, or 1-channel 6MP at 30fps. The NVR provides HDMI and VGA outputs with simultaneous display capability. HDMI output supports up to 1920 × 1080 at 60Hz. One SATA interface is available for HDD installation, supporting up to 6TB capacity per HDD. Smart functions include line crossing and intrusion detection, as well as Smart Search and Smart Playback for easier event searching and playback. Remote management is supported through Hik-Connect, along with network protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, NTP, SMTP and UPnP. The compact Mini 1U design measures 285 × 210 × 48mm and weighs no more than approximately 1kg, making it suitable for compact surveillance installations.
